These are not normal times. Communities across the world are navigating levels of stress, loss, and uncertainty that demand something different from the organizations meant to serve them. Cultivate Resilience’s trauma-informed trainings were built for exactly this.

We work across sectors because the people you serve don’t live in silos, and real change requires collaborative, community-wide solutions. Our training partners span nonprofits, youth-serving and community-based organizations, healthcare, public health, first responders, schools, tribal and government agencies, and treatment and recovery programs. We serve communities across the full continuum of care, and we will meet you where you are.

    Trauma-Informed Care

This training is geared toward businesses, non-profits, healthcare, and first responders. Trauma-informed organizations build the resilience of staff and clients alike, resulting in better customer service and better client outcomes, and enhanced employee engagement, satisfaction, well-being, and retention.

    Trauma-Informed Schools

This training is geared toward schools and organizations that work with youth. Trauma-informed schools report a decrease in discipline referrals alongside an increase in graduation rates and other measurements of student success; trauma-informed schools also report higher levels of staff engagement, satisfaction, well-being, and retention.

New Trainings

“This was the most informative and insightful session that I have seen on this topic, and I have done a lot of work and research on this! It was relevant and so well done.”

“It would be valuable to offer more trainings like this to increase awareness and better prepare peer specialists to effectively support their clients.”

It's Not Just Burnout — Inclusive Pathways to Healing Moral Injury

Have you ever found yourself doing work that matters deeply and still going home with a weight you can't quite name? Have you watched the people you serve be failed by systems you're part of and wondered what to do with what you're carrying?

Moral injury is a predictable response when our deeply held values are violated by circumstances beyond our control. It's what happens when we care, and caring isn't enough to prevent harm.

Understanding Eating Disorders through a Trauma-Informed Lens

A trauma-informed training for helping professionals who want to better understand eating disorders, body image, wellness, and how to show up with more compassion, curiosity, and care.

Eating disorders and disordered eating are more common and more complex than many people realize, and they are not defined by body size alone. This training offers an approach to understanding how food, body image, movement, shame, identity, and grief intersect.

“It opened my eyes to something I had never heard before when it came to moral injury and its effects. Powerful. Great presentation!”

“It put words and phrases to feelings and situations I hadn't the words for before. This was an incredible presentation and very engaging.”

  • "Building resilience with direct tools for self and others was a tremendous addition to the Trauma-Informed knowledge I have been exposed to at work. I am just full of hope and enthusiasm after every training I have taken with Doty and want to share the information with as many friends and family members who are willing to safely listen. Doty is a wonderful voice in the global dialogue of cultural shift towards more empathetic, regulated, and resilient communities."

  • "Our staff has been through TI training before. Doty's presentation was more passionate and clear, and connected additional dots within the trauma-informed approach and service delivery. More trainings from Doty on this subject will be invaluable to our organization and other service providers in the region. "

  • "I needed this training as a nurse. I feel connected, respected, and cared for with this training."

  • "This training provided some very practical tools and insights that I hadn't previously considered."

    Cultural Humility

Global and national events over the last few years have highlighted inequities that have existed for generations. This training brings a trauma-informed approach to equity and cultural humility. We will explore the impact of micro-aggressions (insidious trauma) and implicit bias. We will also consider the interconnected relationship between trauma, equity, and resilience.

    Conflict Management

So many times, instead of responding to the current situation, we re-enact old conflicts in predictable behavior patterns described as "the drama triangle" that are rooted in the neurobiological impacts of our past. Once we understand this phenomenon, we can intentionally make different, more empowering choices to stop the drama, help resolve conflicts, and improve our relationships.

These Are Not Normal Times — How to Be Well Anyway

Do you wish things could just go back to “normal”? Do you feel like you have hit a wall? Are your usual ways of coping unavailable or just not working so well anymore? Join us for a refresh, unpacking the neuroscience that can help us both understand what is happening in our responses, as well as what we can do to build resilience, even in this difficult time.
